Love Halloween? Enjoy seeing homes decked out for your favorite holiday? Here's your chance to seem some of the best home haunts from across the USA with the Home Haunters Video. The video series started when members of the Halloween emails lists decided to share videos of there haunts with each other by sending a VHS tape around and everyone copying there video onto the tape and sending it on to another. In 1999 Halloween Propmaster (Paul Venturella) began accepting videos from haunters and compiling them on DVD's and selling the copies (at a low price to cover costs). In 2010 Propmaster passed the torch onto Jeff and Chris Davis od the Davis Graveyard http://www.davisgraveyard.com who have be creating the DVD's since. Hazelhurst Manor has been submitting a video to the compilation since 2006! Visit http://www.hauntervideos.com for more info and to purchase the current years DVD set or past years sets.

With a cool wind the evening sky began to darken and once again the Hazelhurst Manor came to life scaring and delighting trick or treaters. There were over 400 visitors and we received many compliments on our display and amazed many of the adults. But it was with touch of sadness and your host and hostess have decided to end the manor as it is today. There are many reasons but the effort of setting up all the props and storing them away was getting to be to much for us. Fear not there will be something that rises from the ashes of the former display, what that will be has yet to be decided but you can be sure there will be a celebration of Halloween at the manor.

With the first of October here and Halloween just 30 days away many have been asking what is happening with the Hazelhurst Manor. Current plans are to have the whole display set up and running by Friday the 28th of October but that could change on weather conditions. If it looks like a rainy, cold, windy weather the week before we may just set up a very minimal haunt. Setting up the big display takes a lot out of Keri and myself and with bad weather (rain, cold) we don't need to get sick like we did in 2009. So here hoping we have some nice weather (sunny with temps in the 60's to low 70's and no wind) before Halloween.

(IE: rain, high wind, etc) On Halloween the 31st we will be running from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm ( or till all the candy is passed out). If you haven't had a chance to see the Manor please check it out as this will be the last year in this incarnation and many of the props will be sold after Halloween. Well a big thank you to everyone who stopped by the manor this year and said hello, your comments of support are what help us to do this. We had over 400 trick or treaters this year and with the exception of a few ill behaved individuals we enjoyed showing off the manor to everyone. A lot of time, effort and money goes into putting on a big display like Hazelhurst Manor and in 2011 we will have smaller scaled back effort so we may put our energies and resources in our Christmas Show A Hazelhurst Christmas. We will be alternating shows so every other year will be a big Halloween or Christmas show. As Kerrie and I get a couple days rest I'll be putting pictures and video up on the website. Thanks again,
Jeff and Kerrie
